I-PEX Campus Greening Activities and Reasons for Award

I-PEX Campus is the core base of I-PEX Group, which started operation in 2020 after the renovation of the facilities originally established as a college campus in 1990. More than 500 people, mainly from the engineering, back-office, and mold manufacturing departments, work in the I-PEX Campus Main Building, which was renovated from a university building and converted into offices, and the Tech Forest, a newly built mold factory building to improve and foster mold technologies.

The symbol tree and the main building of I-PEX campus

On the approximately 65,000 m2 site, we have inherited and maintained a vast green space of approximately 16,000 m2 that has existed since the days of the college campus. The site has been maintained in harmony with the office and factory environment with numerous plants and lawns, including sycamore trees planted when the college was established and a zelkova tree planted as a symbolic tree when I-PEX campus was established. I-PEX believes that maintaining green spaces and landscaping is its responsibility to coexist with the local community as it continues to utilize the former local landmark college campus as a business site.

The award was given in recognition of the following: the planting of trees, landscape, and environment from the college days were inherited and maintained as they were; the entire green space is neat, beautiful, and clean with good maintenance and management; and the planting of seasonal flowers and local city trees contribute to creating the image of the community.

We will continue and promote the greening of our factories as one of these sustainability activities, and contribute to the development of society by building a sustainable business model and creating value over the medium to long term.
