I-PEX Inc. (Headquarters: Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto; Representative Director and President: Reiji Konishi; hereinafter "I-PEX") launched its owned media platform "The Sharpest" on Monday, June 15, 2026.
The Sharpest is an owned media platform that shares the challenges and pursuits of the engineers who create "the sharpest tip," along with I-PEX's work to solve its customers' challenges. Through this platform, I-PEX aims to deepen its dialogue with society and build new connections rooted in technology and people.
The Role of The Sharpest
I-PEX's tagline "To be the Sharpest" reflects our commitment to continually taking on challenges alongside our customers in pursuit of value the world has yet to see—and it embodies the new value that emerges from those challenges along the way.
As technology grows more advanced and complex, companies are increasingly expected to communicate not just their products and technologies, but also the stories behind them, the journey of taking on challenges, and the value that technology brings to society.
Through "The Sharpest," we will share the exploration and challenges that unfold in our R&D labs, the expertise honed on the manufacturing floor, and the ways our technology helps solve real-world challenges.
Why We Created The Sharpest
In recent years, as customer challenges have grown more advanced and complex, companies are being asked not simply to supply products, but to create value together with their customers and partners. Yet, BtoB companies in particular—whose everyday touchpoints with the public through consumer products are limited—often struggle to fully communicating the strengths of their technologies and businesses, and the ambitions of the people who work there.
Whether in recruitment, co-creation with customers, or building a deeper understanding of our business, it is increasingly important to communicate on our own value and to deepen our dialogue with society.
In 2025, I-PEX carried out a strategic MBO and made a fresh start as a privately held company. Now that we have established an environment in which we can pursue technological development and business growth with a a medium- to long-term perspective, free from short-term market pressures, we feels this is precisely the moment to share our technologies and challenges in our own words and to deepen our dialogue with society.
